Description

Life expectancy has increased from 42 years in 1952 to about 63 since 1985. The lack of government sponsored retirement homes often transforms older homeless people into marginal members of society.Uma senhora idosa lendo um livro perto do saco de suas possessões numa rua em Belo Horizonte. Muitos dos que vivem nas ruas são pessoas velhas ou crianças. A expectativa de vida cresceu de 42 anos em 1952 para cerca de 63 anos desde 1985. A falta de asilos mantidos pelo governo muitas vezes transforma pessoas mais velhas e sem casa em membros marginais da sociedade.
