Abstract: This piece was written for solo violin and orchestra using several compositional ideas from the twentieth-century. It is in rhetorical form and is overall a movement from light to dark in orchestration, texture, and rhythmic complexity. The pc class (0, 1, 5, 7, 8) was used as the main pitch content using additive techniques with a centric movement of (0, 2, 5, 4). There is also a development of rhythms from the very simple to complex taking place from the beginning to the end of the piece.
