Abstract

This handbook is intended to provide the history of and methodology for the preparation, execution and evaluation of an informal science education program that is based in a predominantly Hispanic community in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Because this program, known as The Junior Scientist Outreach Program (JSOP), has already positively impacted the lives of hundreds of students and families, the importance and relevance of its continuation will be highlighted and reiterated throughout the instructions and step-by-step procedures.
