Description

The bandeirantes monument in the Ibirapuera park was made by Victor Brecheret in honor of these early frontiersmen. Their undertakings secured large regions in the Plata and Amazon areas for the Portuguese colony. The treks of the bandeirantes largely had their origin in Sao Paulo.O monumento aos Bandeirantes no parque Ibirapuera foi feito por Vítor Brecheret em honra a estes desbravadores. Suas conquistas asseguraram grandes regiões nas áreas do Plata e do Amazonas para a colónia portuguesa. O caminho dos bandeirantes tinha origem principalmente em São Paulo.
