Sao Marcelo Fort. Built in the Seventeenth century, it was among the defenses constructed by the Portuguese against the Dutch. In addition, to its defensive uses, it served as a prison for many years and it inmates included participants in various popular uprisings.Forte de São Marcelo, construído no século XVII, sendo uma das defesas construídas pelos portugueses contra os holandeses. Para complementar, além do uso defensivo, o forte serviu como prisão durante muitos anos e entre seus prisioneiros havia participantes de várias revoltas populares.
