Small favela squeezed between the modern skyscrapers and Contorno Avenue, and the water edge. Whether one drives along the waterfront or on the large express avenues, one cannot help seeing the small shacks built wherever there is a vacant space. A few meters from such luxury hotels as the Meridien or the Bahia Othon and in such middle and upper class districts as Barra or Pituba one finds shacks built out of wood, cardboard, metal, etc.Pequena favela apertada entre prédios, a Avenida do Contorno e a orla marítima. Dirigindo-se ao longo da costa ou nas largas vias expressas, não se pode deixar de ver os barracos construídos onde quer tenha que um espaço vazio. A poucos metros de luxuosos hotéis, tais como o Meridien ou o Bahia Othon, e em bairros de classe média alta como os da Barra ou Pituba, pode-se encontrar barracos construídos de papelão, metal, etc.
