68. Futebol in Hyde Park (Football in Hyde Park), 1964. Antonio Bandeira, from Ceará became Brazil's foremost Abstractionist. This canvas is typical of his best known works: gestural abstractions with a thick surface impasto. These lyrical, expressive paintings recall Jackson Pollock's Abstract Expressionist works.
