76. Pintura 2 (Painting 2), (no date). Maurício Nogueira Lima participated in the Grupo Ruptura show in São Paulo in 1953, then became associated with the Concrete Art movement. For a period, he employed a Pop Art style that incorporated urban Brazilian themes, but returned to Concrete Art and his concerns with communication and formalist aesthetics.
