The Alagados favela in Salvador was built on recovered swampland and was notorious for its poor infrastructure. Although the government invested in various improvements, new slums sprang up in nearby areas.A favela dos Alagados em Salvador foi construída em pantanais recuperados e foi notória por sua infraestrutura pobre.
