Carcasses of cattle on the scorched ground in the interior of Pernambuco. Both animais and plants, as well as those living in the sertão, are a hearty lot, able to adapt to this harsh environment. However, when the drought becomes extreme, death becomes inevitable for some.Carcaça de gado no chão crestado do interior de Pernambuco. Tanto os animais como as plantas, bem como aqueles que vivem no sertão, são resistentes e capazes de se adaptarem ao ambiente duro. Contudo, quando a seca é extrema a morte se torna inevitável para alguns.
