Description

The "new" town of Repartimento (PA), which was relocated as a result of the flooding caused by the Tucuruí dam. Ambitious projects such as Tucuruí and the Carajás mining development, as well as various gold rushes, have also attracted numerous migrants to the new frontier areas of the North. These internal migrations are a challenge to the government if it plans to coherently develop the region.A pequena cidade de Repartimento (PA) que foi resituada como resultado da inundação da represa de Tucuruí. Ambiciosos projetos, como o de Tucuruí e das minas de Carajás, e as chamadas corridas do ouro têm atraído inúmeros migrantes para a região Norte. Estas migrações internas são um desafio para o governo, se é que este planeja desenvolver coerentemente a região.
