Arriving migrants from the Northeast at the bus station. Brasília attracted numerous migrants from the Northeast hoping to find a job in the se rvice and construction sectors. Today the federal oistrict has a population over 1. 7 million people and the growth of the "satellite cities" has been explosive.Migrantes chegando do Nordeste na estação rodoviária. Brasília atraiu grande número de migrantes do nordeste esperando encontrar trabalho nos setores de serviço e construção. Hoje o Distrito Federal tem uma populaçao superior a 1.7 milhões de habitantes e o crescimento das "cidades-satélite" tem sido explosivo.
