| Abstract: | While events in Nepal are troublesome and a kind of diplomatic disaster for India, India would benefit from a peaceful Nepal and suffers costs from having a poor and conflict-ridden neighbour. India should demonstrate greater vision and farsightedness in its dealings with Nepal, while Nepal should stop mistrusting its giant neighbour. India should let the international community, namely the UN, play a major role in bringing about a peaceful resolution to the current crisis in Nepal. |
