The Utton Center has undertaken a project to design a model water compact to be used as the basis for forging new agreements and for thinking about current compacts that are now outdated. The model water compact, to be created over a three-year period, was launched at the Center’s first conference when 70 water experts in law, science, and public policy began a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach to transboundary water resource management.
