Abstract

This report presents a comparison of ambulatory care visits made to the Indian Health Service (IHS) and tribally operated facilities for fiscal years 1992 and 1993, as reported through the ambulatory care computer data systems. The statistical data in this report were compiled from the Ambulatory Patient Care Report and the Patient Care Component Ambulatory Encounter Records. The number of ambulatory visits increased from 5,192,906 in 1992 to 5,532,902 in 1993; this is an increase of 6.5 percent. The report presents each of the 12 IHS Area's visitation figures with increase/decrease percentages by hospital and non-hospital visits.
