Abstract: This article discusses Central America's current energy matrix and outlines the next steps that the region may consider, such as more hydropower projects, wind parks, and small-scale renewable energy projects in rural areas. Lastly, the article examines the benefits to continuing efforts to link the various power grids in the region for increased efficiency.
