dc.description.abstractNepal Study Center conducted its Fourth Annual Himalayan Policy Research Conference at the University of Wisconsin’s pre-conference venue of the 38th South Asian Conference on October 22, 2009. A wide range of topics were covered such as: marginalized groups, environment, health, education, conflict, remittance, ethnicity, gender and political transformation. Most papers presented in the conference were driven by analytical approach but with deep policy implications. The present volume puts together papers, abstracts, and proceedings of the above conference.en_US
