Women preparing farinha de mandioca (manioc flour) in the Reconcavo region, using methods which date back to the colonial days. Large number of Yorubas, Hausas, Geges and many other African groups were brought to Brazil. They possessed many different cultural levels and contributed a variety of skills to the new society.Mulher preparando farinha de mandioca na região do Recóncavo, usando métodos que datam dos tempos coloniais. Grande número de Yorubas, Hausas, Gêges e muitos outros grupos africanos foram trazidos ao Brasil. Eles possuíam diferentes níveis culturais e contribuíram para a variedade de habilidades da nova sociedade.
