75) A frontal view of the twelve prophets in front of the church Bom Jesus de Matozinhos. Located 72 kms south of Belo Horizonte, Congonhas is easily reached by car or bus. The lifesize outdoor carvings outside the church and the sixty-six painted woodcarvings in the garden chapels (representing the Passion of Christ) are Aleijadinho's masterpieces.75) Uma vista frontal dos doze profetas na frente da Igreja Bom Jesus de Matozinhos. Localizada a 72 kms ao sul de Belo Horizonte, chega-se a Congonhas facilmente por carro ou por ónibus. As esculturas em tamanho natural do lado de fora da igreja e as sessenta e seis esculturas de madeira pintadas nos jardins da capela (representando a paixão de Cristo) são as obras de arte mais famosas de Aleijadinho.
