Description
A variety of incense and powders for protection and other favors in an Umbanda store in Salvador (BA). These are often made from natural ingredients and used against or in favor of Indian, Afro-Brazilian, and Catholic deities. Syncretism has deeply affected all of Afro-Brazilian culture, but most especially religion. Slavery uprooted the slaves from the African continent but seemed to unite and mix their cultures in Brazil with additional influences from existing Indian and Portuguese cultures.Uma variedade de incensos e talcos para proteção e outros favores numa loja de umbanda em Salvador (BA). Estes produtos são sempre feitos de ingredientes naturais e são usados contra ou a favor de divindades índígenas, afro-brasileiras e católicas. O sincretismo tem afetado profundamente toda a cultura afro-brasileira, mas especialmente à religiilo. A escravidão desarraigou os escravos do continente africano, mas uniu e misturou suas culturas no Brasil com influência das culturas portuguesa e indígena já existente.
