The most fertile lands for agriculture are those which are regularly covered by flood waters, yet which make up on1y a small percentage of the Amazon Basin.Vegetação de prado da "várzea" e uma longa casa de madeira em estacas. As terras mais férteis para agricultura são as que se encontram regularmente cobertas pela inundação. Essas constituem pequena porcentagem da Bacia Amazónica.
