Description

Belém is often referred as the "cidade das mangueiras" (city of mango trees) and avenues such as the Presidente Vargas, in the downtown areas, provide shade against the hot sun and humid climate. Between November and April it rains constantly in the afternoon and this tropical rain helps cool the temperature.Belém é conhecida como a "cidade das mangueiras". Avenidas como a Presidente Vargas, nas áreas do centro da cidade, provêm sombra para proteção contra o calor do sol e a umidade. Entre novembro e abril chove constantemente durante a tarde e esta chuva tropical ajuda a refrescar a temperatura.
